And we are so pleased to have you on our team!

Yep, the people involved in this effort are amazing. I agree....Hello, Bob,

I didn't see you there.

I agree. In any other circumstance, that IFW report would kill a project.

It remains to be seen just how entrenched and how powerful the wind lobby is. Frankly, I think their 'hey day' is history. I think they are beginning to get 'wind' of the fact that Maine citizens are learning the truths about mountaintop industrial wind--which they never bothered to mention when they were selling their product.

Keep up the good work in your neck of the woods!!

Hugs,
KazKaren Bessey Peasehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06338816663941656625noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3525954039279807738.post-37801441433632439772011-04-16T21:53:05.151-04:002011-04-16T21:53:05.151-04:00Hey, Brad,

Perhaps some of the wrongs will be righted if our Legislature passes LD1170, "An Act to Establish a Code of Ethics for Individuals Involved in Grid-scale Wind Energy Development".

One wouldn't think we'd have to regulate ethics, but apparently, we do.

Lots of hills to climb and battles to win. Thanks so much for always being in the front line, my friend. You are an inspiration.

xoxo
KazKaren Bessey Peasehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06338816663941656625noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3525954039279807738.post-37941612682558059012011-04-16T21:48:59.245-04:002011-04-16T21:48:59.245-04:00I am very happy to hear that DIF&W is coming o...I am very happy to hear that DIF&W is coming out so strongly for the animals. Too late for Kibby and Lincoln Lakes, but perhaps the ruckus we raised and the fact that Baldacci and his edict to approve these proects is gone has finally freed the professionals in IF&W to say they know this is wrong. Keep up the relentless pressure, because you are up against a political insider who is adept at slippery maneuvers that include bribes.

We have made progress when I remember nobody from Audubon or IF&W or DEP gave any consideration to the threat of documented nesting eagles on the lakes in Lincoln or the ospreys or the migratory waterfowl along the Penobscot flyway or the loons on every one of the 13 Lincoln Lakes where, alas, today 40 turbines are rising. No objections to 20 miles of powerline from Rollins Mt. to Mattawamkeag going through numerous deer yards and wetlands, just taken as necessary collateral damage.

While I grieve the losses in Lincoln Lakes, I cautiously let my heart be filled with joy and hope that the real defenders of Maine are now rallying to our quest to save Maine's uplands and mountains from ruination by industrial wind sites.Brad Blakenoreply@blogger.com
