You know what drove me crazie...You have NO IDEA!

You know what drove me craziest? I was telling Mr. Grumbles on the way down to the meeting that I bet I could quote some of the standard placations he always uses... and he DID use them. The worst? He said these things don't impact wildlife, and if we didn't believe it, we could google "cows and wind turbines" and we'd see pictures of "happy cows sitting around under wind turbines"!! Grrrr. (Btw, did you know that cows sit? I'd google it for that reason alone!))

What I wanted to say was ---Try googling Goats and Wind Turbines and see where a farmer lost more than 400 goats due to the danged things...

See, browsers need to be able to hear their predators. They pause and they listen for danger... and if their ears tell them it's safe, they eat. And then pause and listen, and then eat some more. An inability to hear causes them to not eat like they should... they get stressed out, never sure about what they are hearing. And stress and lack of nutrition kills animals. Domestic and wild. That's simple common sense, and I've seen many animals die of stress.

Some of the noise emitted is also very similar to human modulation, too... which is one of the reasons humans within hearing distance lose sleep. It is ingrained in us to wake when we hear talking... like a mother hearing every sound her child makes in the night....

Anyway, I digress...

Each point he made will be refuted. I recorded the whole speech so that I can be sure he's quoted correctly... and I or one of our members will respond. Just have to hope we get equal air time. He has the star power, and has a platform anytime he wants it. We have to fight to be heard...

Thanks forreading and commenting, Ali g!

Grrrrrr!Karen Bessey Peasehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06338816663941656625noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3525954039279807738.post-83144677945594768552010-05-24T01:49:26.098-04:002010-05-24T01:49:26.098-04:00No negative impact on birds eh?

OR, that without that money, this project, and probably Highland Wind LLC itself, ceases to be viable?

Mr. King is doing his best to destroy the mountains, and put well established small busness owners like myself right out out of business, and he does it by claiming to bring 'econmic bennefits' to the County.

UNBELIEVABLE!DCnoreply@blogger.com
